Text:
"The type specimen (MEL39790) is here designated as a lectotype, due to the lack of a cited holotype in the protologue and the apparent lack of a specimen at the Botanic Museum Berlin-Dahlem (B), likely resulting from the massive loss of types at B as a consequence of bombing in the Second World War (e.g. Hiepko 1987). No specimens at other herbaria where Link typically lodged his specimens (e.g. BR, C, FI, H, LIV, P, PH, W; Stafleu & Cowan 1981) were found on the Global Plants website (https://plants.jstor.org/). The label on MEL39790 identifies it as part of the type that was at B, thus, its designation originally as an isotype by Court (1972)."
