• Comment: Mueller lists "Eriochloa punctata and E. annulata = E. polystachya, ...". Both Eriochloa punctata (L.) Desv. ex Ham. and Eriochloa annulata Kunth were previously accepted by Mueller on p. 130 of the Systematic Census (1882) but Eriochloa polystachya Kunth is the only species treated in Mueller's Second Systematic Census on p. 218 (1889). Therefore Eriochloa polystachya is here treated as being the accepted name in this Supplement with E. punctata and E. annulata in synonymy.
