  • APC Comment: The genus Notholaena is sometimes included in Cheilanthes, or is treated as distinct. In the latter case, it is excluded from Australia, with Notholaena s. str. being found in America (Chambers & Farrant, 1991). The spelling Nothochlaena Kaulf. is an orthographic variant.
