However, no trace of a specimen can be found on the Naturalis database, comprising specimens from both U and L. It is notable that, in his paper, Miquel prefaces the section on Myrtaceae with a strong acknowledgement of Mueller’s input, and the description is attributed to him and in quotes. I believe that there is a compelling case for the cited specimen at MEL to be the holotype..."
