Hybrids between A. ramulosa and A. aneura are frequent, particularly in WA and are frequently misidentified as A. brachystachya or A. cibaria (Pedley, 2001). An extremely polymorphic taxon, with intermediate links to several other species. See Pedley (2001) for a recent summary. Intergrades between A. minyura and A. aneura are frequent (Pedley, 2001). Hybrids between A. craspedocarpa and A. aneura are frequent (Pedley, 2001).
