  • Type: "Its native country is scarcely known. Messrs Loddiges believe it to be a native of New Holland, but this is thought improbable by Dr. Lindley. It was introduced by Messrs. Loddiges, in 1818, who received it from M. Parmentier's collection at Enghein."
