  • Type: "native of New South Wales, and was introduced, by Messrs. Kennedy and Lee, in the year 1775 ... The two figures, on the plate, which are the male and female, were taken from two plants, in flower at the same time, in the collection of the Dowager Lady de Clifford, Paddington."
  • Comment: nom. illeg. non Aiton (1789). Stafleu & Cowan, Tax. Lit. ed. 2, 1 (1976) 51 give the author as "probably ... John Kennedy", but as there is no such indication in the work itself, Andrews has been accepted here as the author.
