Male (lecto, here selected, BM, the lectotype consists of the fertile male specimens on the sheet, excluding the vegetative piece on the right of the sheet which may be an allied species of Desmocladus, and also the central specimen in the lower half of the sheet which is Empodisma gracillimum (F.Muell.) L.A.S.Johnson & D.F.Cutler.; isolecto BM).
