Etymology:"The epithet crassi-nervis, Latin, “thickveined” refers to the unusually bulging central vein of the leaves."
Comment:The collection number of the type specimen is printed in error as "436", but the holotype specimen is in fact M.E. Ballingall 435 & M.R. Cockburn (see also AVH).
