Etymology:
"From the Latin lasi-, woolly, and angustus, narrow, referring to the relationship between this species and P. lasianthos, and its usually narrowly ovate to narrowly elliptic leaves. This species was first recognised as distinct by the late John Carrick (1914–1978, ex AD). Although he did not formally describe this species, we here acknowledge that he proposed the epithet as a manuscript name."
