  • Etymology: "The name of this species (Gonocarpus keigheryi) honors Gregory Keighery, a renowned Western Australian botanist that has been a prolific collector of the southwest Western Australia flora. His collections from remote regions and of even the most inconspicuous of plants, such as many Haloragaceae, have been invaluable for plant systematics in the region."
