Etymology:
"Named in honour of Don and Barbara Bellairs, who collected extensively in the Kalbarri area over their many years of residence there, and kept a local herbarium. They were the first to collect a number of rare species from Kalbarri National Park and nearby, including S. tenuissima Rye, and are the only collectors of Thryptomene pinifolia Rye & Trudgen."
