Anacardiaceae R.Br.
Icica timoriensis DC. , legitimate, scientific
Candolle, A.P. de in Candolle, A.P. de (ed.) (1825), Terebinthaceae. Prodromus Systematis Naturalis Regni Vegetabilis 2: 78 BHL [tax. nov.]
  • Type: "in ins. Timor. ( v. s. comm. a Mus. Par. )"
  • Comment: A.P. de Candolle consistently used the spelling "timoriensis" for epithets throughout his contributions to the Prodromus, usually including "ins. Timor." in the type locality. Since this can be interpreted as an abbreviation of "insula Timoria", these epithets are thus not "corrected" to timorensis, although this is an acceptable alternative spelling used by some other contributors to the work.
