  • Type: north of Crawler Rd, Shire of York, [precise locality withheld], Western Australiam 24 October 1999, A.Lowrie 2399 & F. & J. Hort (holo: PERTH 05584922; iso: MEL).
  • Etymology: The epithet hortiorum is named in honour of Fred and Jean Hort, botanical enthusiasts who were with one of us (A.L.) when this species was discovered.
