  • Type: Grevillea Creek, Beverley Springs Station, Western Australia, 16 29'S, 125 21'E 31 May 1992, Mathew D. Barrett 4 (holo: PERTH 04452666; iso: DNA, MEL).
  • Etymology: Named in honour of the Barrett family, former owners of Beverley Springs Station, whose sons Matthew and Russell Barrett collected many valuable botanical specimens from the region.
