• Comment: R.O.Belcher, Muelleria 9: 127 (1996) treated this as a new name, but it is here regarded as a secondary reference to Senecio pectinatus var. pleiocephalus Benth. Belcher's name, Senecio pinnatifolius var. pleiocephalus, is therefore invalid (lacking a Latin diagnosis: ICBN Art. 36.1 (2006)).
