  • APC Comment: Hybrids are known between C. deserticola subsp. mesogeotica and C. eremaea subsp. oligocarpa in NT (Hill & Johnson, 1995).

  • Etymology: "The epithet is from the Greek mesogeotikos, inland, referring to the distribution."
