Hybrids between C. gummifera and C. maculata are known from southern NSW, and have been named E. x nowraensis (Hill & Johnson, 1995). Hybrids are reported between C. intermedia and C. maculata and between C. maculata and C. citriodora ('C. variegata') in NSW (Hill & Johnson, 1995).
