• Type: "C.Dunlop 2948 22 July 1972, Maria Island, Gulf of Carpentaria, 13°52'' 135°44'' on stabilised sand dunes behind the beach; brown sand with Hakea arborescens. Holo: NT (36433). Iso: FRI."

• Comment: The latitude given in the protologue (13°52' S) appears to be in error. The label of the FRI isotype (now held at CANB) gives 14°52' S, which corresponds to Maria Island. In addition, the date on the CANB specimen is given as 27 July 1972 rather than 22 July. A date of 27 July fits in with the numbering of other Dunlop specimens held by CANB.
