Etymology:
The epithet is derived from the Latin saxum, a rock, and cola, a dweller or inhabitant, in reference to the habitat of the subspecies. As with all epithets ending in -cola, this should be treated as a noun in apposition, i.e. the ending does not vary with the gender of the associated generic name.
