• Comment: nom. nov., in order to avoid creation of a tautonym under ICN Art. 23.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018). The replacement epithet was originally spelled 'rheedii', probably after H.A.Rheede as the description of the basionym refers to “Entada. Rheed. mal. 9. p. 151. t. 67.” [i.e. H.A.Rheede, Hort. Malab. (1689)]. Even if Sprengel had intentionally Latinised Rheede's surname to 'Rheedius', the correct spelling of the epithet would be 'rheedei' under ICN Art. 60.9 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
