Lectotype:
(here designated): on a sheet labelled 'West Australian Goldfields. Spencer Moore 1895. Persoonia Leucopogon (sp. nov.) S. Moore. Small subshrub about 2 feet or so. Flowers yellow. Between Uladdie and Yilgangie. March '95'; annotated by Moore (BM, photo NSW). The specimen on the right-hand side is designated lectotype. Isolectotype: NY.
