"Three sheets in K are possible syntypes of P. juniperina var. ulicina, but only one collection has the annotation `P. juniperina β' in a hand similar to that of Meissner. ... This sheet and, in particular, the specimen bearing abundant flowers (presumably collected Jan.–Feb. 1837) is here chosen as lectotype of P. juniperina var. ulicina."
