  • APC Comment: There are several variants described by B.J.Conn, Nuytsia 6(3): 361–362 (1988). Specimens from NSW (= 'Coaldale' variant) previously included under Prostanthera spinosa (B.J.Conn in G.J.Harden (ed.), Fl. New South Wales 3: 659, 1992) are now referable to Prostanthera sejuncta. Hybrids between Prostanthera spinosa and Prostanthera lasianthos are recorded from Vic, and have been referred to as Prostanthera sp. (Cultivation Ck) by J.H.Willis, Handb. Pl. Vic. 2: 588 (1973).
