Kloot, P.M. (1983), The genus Lolium in Australia. Australian Journal of Botany 31(4): 434 [secondary reference]

Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria (2008), Australian Plant Census: - APC [secondary reference]
  • APC Comment: P.M.Kloot, Austral. J. Bot. 31(4): 434 (1983), refers to "... some specimens collected near Adelaide by Mueller ...", but Lolium persicum is not known to be naturalised in Australia.
Weiller, C.M., Walsh, N.G. & Thompson, I.R. in Wilson, A.J.G. (ed.) (2009), Lolium. Flora of Australia 44A: 290 [secondary reference]
  • Text: "There is a single old collection (St Vincents Gulf, s.d., Blandowski) at MEL which has been identified as this species, P.M.Kloot (The Genus Lolium in Australia, Austral. J. Bot. 31: 434 (1983)) thought that Australian material was probably referable to L. temulentum var. temulentum, but N.G.Walsh (pers. comm.) says that most features of the specimen match descriptions of L. persicum. However there are no more recent collections, so the species, if correctly identified, does not appear to have persisted."
