Type:
"This fine and very distinct species has now produced its singular flowers for the first time in Europe, in the superb collection of the Comtesse de Vandes', at Bayswater, who procured it from the collections of Mr. Mackay, at Clapton, it being one of the new plants discovered on the South Coast of New Holland, by Mr. W. Baxter."
