taxonomic synonym: Hydrocotyle peduncularis R.Br. ex A.Rich. legitimate
  • Comment: Mueller lists "Hydrocotyle peduncularis = H. hirta". Hydrocotyle peduncularis R.Br. ex A.Rich. and H. hirta R.Br. ex A.Rich. were both previously accepted by Mueller on page 62 of the Systematic Census (1882) but H. hirta was the only one treated in Mueller's Second Systematic Census p. 106 (1889). Therefore H. hirta is here treated as being the accepted name in this Supplement with H. peduncularis in synonymy.
