"... not an Australian plant. ...seems probable that the specimens were not in fact collected by Amalie Dietrich in Queensland and have at some time been mislabelled."

Text:
"The type specimen is not an Australian species. It appears similar to the Malesian A. vulcanicum Blume, and may have originated from the Caroline Is. (P.S.Green, Kew Bull. 43: 652, 1988). The stated locality for the specimen is almost certainly incorrect."

APC Comment:
A name of uncertain application, possibly referable to Asplenium vulcanicum Blume (see P.J.Brownsey in A.E.Orchard (ed.), Fl. Australia 48: 323 (1998)).
