Comment: Armstrong (2002) presents contradictory information regarding this taxon and its synonyms. On p. 393, Zieria pilosa var. pauciflora is listed in synonymy of Z. minutiflora subsp. minutiflora, with "Type citation: 'Queensland: A.Dietrich no. 2783'. A misapplied name - it does not have a type". The Dietrich specimen is not the type, merely a specimen cited by Domin; the last sentence is also contradictory. However, on p. 280, Armstrong indicates that "...[Z. pilosa var. pauciflora] cannot be equated with certainty to any currently recognised taxon".
