Introduction

The family in Australia was reviewed by Taylor et al. (2008). They recognised four described species, and identified a further three species for which there was insufficient material to justify formal description. The undescribed species were listed as: Solemya (s.l.) undesctibed species, Solemya (Solemyarina) species A, and Solemya (Solemyarina) species B.
