Lizard Island, QLD (14º40´S) to Sydney Harbour, NSW (33º51'S) with juveniles south to Narooma (36º13'S), also Elizabeth Reef, Middleton Reef and Lord Howe Island; tropical, west-central Pacific; often misidentified as E. flavocaeruleus.
