Pseudoscopelus scriptus Lütken, 1892 by monotypy.
Introduction
The names in use for species in Australia are tentative. Melo (2010) revised the group, but did not examine material from eastern Australia. Prokofiev (2011) disagreed with Melo's classification, but also did not study Australian material.
