Family PHANEROPORIDAE Zezina, 1981

Diagnosis

Terebratelloid brachiopods with entire umbo in branchial valve and high septum, reaching the bottom of pedicle valve. Descending branches of loop attach the septum immediately or are replaced anteriorly by spicules which fill the lophophore. Ascending branches of loop absent. Dental plates more or less developed. From Zezina (1981: 17).
