Introduction

Prior to 2018, the species was treated as L. guttatus, which is now considered restricted to the Atlantic Ocean.

Extra Distribution Information

From Scotts Head Beach, NSW (30º43´S) to Sorrento Beach, WA (31º49´S), records sparse in southern Australia; subtropical, temperate, circumglobal.
