Introduction

Unlike the other species of Mayawa, this species lacks any brown colouring and is plain lemon yellow in colour, even on the face of the head. It is distributed mainly in southern Queensland although there are known records, which appear to be this species, from both the Pilbara and the far NE corner of Western Australia.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: grassland, phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species is easily differentiated from other species of Mayawa by the complete lack of dark colouration on the head and thorax but male genitalia should be examined for confirmation of identifications.
