Introduction

Recent work suggests that this species may be restricted to the northwest Pacific and records from Australia may represent another, possibly undescribed, species (Torii et al 2003).

New South Wales, Northern Territory, Western Australia


Extra Distribution Information

Off Perth (32ºS, 115º03'E) to west of Exmouth Gulf (21º50'S, 113º53'E), WA, Arafura Sea north of Cape Wessel (10º25'S, 136º40'E), and off Byron Bay (28º37´S, 153º54'E) to off Port Hacking (34º03´S, 151º39'S), NSW; temperate, Indo-west Pacific (Japan, New Caledonia, possibly Hawaii).
