Comment: Waterhouse in the original description mentioned eight males and four females but no type.

Extra Distribution Information

Restricted to SA, it has been recorded in and near the Flinders Ranges, East of Wilpena Pound, Willochra Plain, near Port Augusta, Mambray Creek, Melrose, Orroroo and Yunta, urbanisation has caused the disappearance of Adelaide populations.

Ecological Descriptors

Larva: attendant ants, herbivore (associated flora: Acacia pycnantha Benth. [FABACEAE] Golden Wattle; Acacia victoriae Benth. [FABACEAE] Prickly Wattle).

Extra Ecological Information

Larvae are attended by Iridomyrmex purpureus (Smith) and I. viridiaeneus Viehmeyer and another undescribed ant species (Formicidae).
