Lectotype BMNH 1881.31 ♀, Albany Is., Torres Strait, Australia.
Paralectotype(s) BMNH 1882.7 3 juveniles, Prince of Wales Channel, Torres Strait, QLD; BMNH 1862.53 1♂ (the syntypes collected from Stn 177, Thursday Island and Stn 158, Torres Strait by Dr Coppinger, are no longer extant); BMNH 1862.53 ♂, 1 juvenile.
