N.S.W. 28(1): 132–275 [170] (stated that Dr Lucas had informed him that the types had been destroyed); Waterhouse, G.A. 1910. The identity of the butterfly Miletus euclides, Miskin. Victorian Naturalist (Melbourne) 27: 157–158 [158] (discussed the history of the types and stated that he had located specimens in the Lucas collection which he believed were the types of euclides); Sands, D.P.A. 1986. A revision of the genus Hypochrysops C. & R. Felder. Entomonograph 7: 1–116 [76] (stated that the syntypes were destroyed, but Waterhouse's (1910) comments suggest that they may be in the SAMA where the Lucas collection now is; because Miskin's description clearly related to the northern Queensland species the name was used as a subspecies of pythias but Waterhouse did not say if the male, which was a specimen of hecalius, was a syntype or not one of the syntypic series).Type locality references:
