Diagnosis

Irregularly massive, lamellate, flabelliform, branching growth forms, with numerous oscules linearly distributed on rims or scattered on branches. Ectosomal skeleton a tridimensional tangential network of secondary fibres with rounded meshes, covered by a fine membrane. Choanosomal skeleton irregular, diffuse, radially plumose network of primary, ramified multispicular fibres, irregularly connected by secondary multispicular fibres. Abundant spongin. Megascleres oxeas often with modified or strongylote apices. Microscleres absent.
