Introduction

This species has been treated as a single widely distributed species, as a single species with two to five subpecies (Johnson et al. 2001; Randall 2005; Johnson 2010) or two separate species (McKay 2001), Diagramma pictum and Diagramma labiosum.

States

New South Wales, Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia


Extra Distribution Information

Houtman Abrolhos Islands, WA (28°46'S) to Sydney (33°53'S), and Lord Howe Island NSW; tropical, Indo-west Pacific, sometimes regarded as distinct species, D. labiosum, confined to Australia, Lord Howe Island and New Guinea.
