The principal essentially continuous population from central Queensland to Victoria has received most of these names. Two isolated populations which have different ranges of variation occur. One on the Atherton Tableland, Queensland and one in Tasmania. Should names he required for these S. athertonensis Turner, 1940 is available for the former and S. vigens Butler, 1878 for the latter)
