   Holotype QDPI ♂ (coll.: 22.iii.1985, at light, J.W. Turner), Yam Island, Queensland.

Introduction

One of only three species of the genus recorded from Australia. This species is the most widespread in Australia although still restricted to the northern parts of Queensland, including Torres Strait islands.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

Diagnosis

Frons U-carina weakly developed, no vertex, frons convex dorsally, extending to tranverse intergenal carina at margin of pronotum. Tegmen apical margin parabolic, R, S and M longitudinal veins arising from basal stem, origin of vein S obscured by pustules. Colour dull stramineous, veins dull ivory, sutural margin of clavus narrowly fuscous, postclaval sutural and apical margins fuscous between vein terminations. Tegmen margins lacking red. Metatibial spine formula 1 : 5 (Medler 2001).
