   Aristostomias grimaldii Zugmayer, 1913 by monotypy.

 

Introduction

Material is held in various collections of material from Australia, including a specimen in NMV identified by R. Gibbs as Aristostomias grimaldii Zugmayer 1913 and specimens in the USNM from the Coral Sea identified as as Aristostomias lunifer Regan & Trewavas 1930 and Aristostomias xenostoma Regan & Trewavas 1930. Further work is needed to document Australian records.
