Introduction

This species is unknown to the compiler. It was described from three males and five females from Thursday Island and Prince of Wales Island in Torres Strait and is the only species in the genus.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Head acutely projecting, frons with diagnostic pattern of five carinae. Vertex/pronotum ratio = 1.20–1.25. Apex of vertex red, wide red band along longitudinal carina of pro- and mesonotum, front tibiae and tarsi red. Markings of tegmina testaceous, red rectangular spots at vein terminals along precostal, apical and sutural margins; white spots in cells; vaguely arranged in two narrow oblique bands in apical area of tegmen (Medler 2001)
